me and my wife want to go bankrupt asap, we r moving abroad in aug and want to take wot little money we have with us.. should we do it while here in the uk, or take the cash and then file from abroad ??? any views would be much appreciated.. thanx

Personally I feel it would be better to put your affairs in the UK in order before your move, but at the end of the day it is a personal decision. It will cost you more to file from abroad though.

Hi upthecreek - welcome to the forum.
I have a feeling you can give someone power of attorney (or similar) to represent you at court and with the OR. Please wait for one of the BR assist experts to advise you fully.
The process of getting your court date and having your OR interview is relatively quick - 4/6 weeks - so that may give you time to do it before leaving the country.
