Hi upthecreek - welcome to the forum.
I have a feeling you can give someone power of attorney (or similar) to represent you at court and with the OR. Please wait for one of the BR assist experts to advise you fully.
The process of getting your court date and having your OR interview is relatively quick - 4/6 weeks - so that may give you time to do it before leaving the country.

Personally I feel it would be better to put your affairs in the UK in order before your move, but at the end of the day it is a personal decision. It will cost you more to file from abroad though.

For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com
