Posted - 29 July 2008 : 23:41:28 a person has filed for bankruptcy against me.i have filled a statutory demand form in and had it set aside.as i despute the full amount of the claimi have recieved a letter from the courts to day.for hearing on the 13th august 2008.time estimate 40 mins.do i need a solisitor.must i attend the court on that day.i feel i have got a concrete case to prove not guilty.thanks

You don't need a solicitor as you can represent yourself. If you want to get the petition dismissed you will have to attend and put your point accross to the Judge.
