a person has filed for bankruptcy against me.i have filled a statutory demand form in and had it set aside.as i despute the full amount of the claimi have recieved a letter from the courts to day.for hearing on the 13th august 2008.time estimate 40 mins.do i need a solisitor.must i attend the court on that day.i feel i have got a concrete case to prove not guilty.thanks

Hi WHT and welcome to the forum

Im not sure about this one but hang on in there one of the experts will be along shortly to give you some advice.

Keep posting your questions and you will get your answers and quite quickly too. Everyone on here has been through the same or similar.

Hi wht and welcome to the forum.

You don't need a solicitor as you can represent yourself. If you want to get the petition dismissed you will have to attend and put your point accross to the Judge.
