i've recently had my house repossesed and the mortgage co are selling it for 30k less than the debt. if i go bankrupt will the debt be written off even though the house is not yet sold.thanks in advance.

Im not 100% sure on this one but the experts on here and indeed other members will be able to help to answer that question shortly.

Hang on in there and keep posting your questions.

You could try reading some of the older threads and see if there is anything similar that may answer this question whilst you are waiting.

Hi richard

If you peition for your bankruptcy any shortfall or potential shortfall will be included in the bankruptcy.
