Posted - 02 August 2009 : 22:30:12 got 16 days now till my hearing and am thinking i really must get my forms filled in, but am a bit stuck as to what is a reasonable amount to put in for food clothes etc got four kids (3 of them teenagers) living with us permanently and 2 more teenagers every other weekend and half of all the holidays, also for clothing. please help many thanks

Posted - 02 August 2009 : 22:51:51 Hi, try and look at your bank statements to see what you actualy spend as it is harder for the OR to reduce if you can show what you pay, i know that this can be hard as many people have been juggling expenses between various cards before bankrupty. If you cant do this then i would say 1 adult/4children (Food/Household £400, clothing £150) or 2 adult/4children (food/Household £610, clothing £180).
the link below is to the spreadsheet that the OR uses to assess the SOA, it is a bit out of date so add about 5-10%
