Posted - 12 August 2008 : 20:10:13 Hi vacs ians / CG is correct here. A joint account is joint & several liability so if you are BR all of the overdraft becomes your OH liability.

Posted - 12 August 2008 : 19:09:54 Hi vacs,
I think sarah is right here and that if only you go BR, your other half would be liable for all the overdraft debt, regardless of what it was spent on. It would only be included in the BR if both of you were to go BR.

Posted - 12 August 2008 : 18:26:20 i think the debt on your joint account is passed to your other half, and they are liable to pay it. |
