Hi again,
Just a thought can anyone explain to me what happens in B/R to a joint account when i have an overdraft limit of £3000 and gone over it by £600 do I need to pay or can I include it in my B/R.

if im correct and you have disclosed it to your OR then it should be included if you have both gone bankrupt

i think the debt on your joint account is passed to your other half,and they are liable to pay it.

shouldnt the joint account be split 50/50 for the B/R

Hi vacs,

I think sarah is right here and that if only you go BR, your other half would be liable for all the overdraft debt, regardless of what it was spent on. It would only be included in the BR if both of you were to go BR.

ians / CG is correct here.
A joint account is joint & several liability so if you are BR all of the overdraft becomes your OH liability.

Everything seems so hard my marriage was ok now its not this B/R lark is ruining my life. MY husband now wants to file fOr fraud as he has changed his mind again and said he will tell the coUrt I decived him for the money what do i do now? I am so sad why and when will i feel happy and relieved again
