I am hoping the OR will let me keep my mobile as I don't have a landline!

Hi all,

With Sky, BT boradband and T-Mobile, I just continued to pay my DD's as usual and never had any problems! I did out down on the SOA that I needed broadband and a mobile for work purposes though.

I told Vodafone I was going BR and they were happy for me to stay with them - they even offered to put me on a cheaper tariff if it would help me! If they had have cut me off, I was planning on getting my OH to get a contract in his name for me to use - with a different network out of principal!

Hello,

I am with T-mobile, I didnt actually tell them that i was going bankrupt. I just cancelled my direct debit and now i pay over the counter in the post office, they charge you £3 a month for not paying by direct debit, but at least i get to stay with them and keep my phone and number.

Thanks

Hi me again,

Just been onto o2, they have billed me for the whole of my contract term now and informed me that the mobile is no disconnected.
I explained that they can try and get payment but its to do with the OR now and that they should not be sending me anything or expecting any payment either as this matter was now out of my hands.
I knew it would be disconnected, thats why we went on PAYG.
Ha.

Hi Maizie and gettingthere,

The reality is it's hard to know what each company will do once you're BR. I don't have any experience of any of those companies, but have also called Sky, BT broadband etc asking them hypothetically and they say as long as we pay there will be no problem, so all I can do is hope that's the caseand deal with it if not when it happens. Hopefully you'll be ok too Maizie. Maybe you could call the companiesinvolved gettingthere and see what their stance is.

PS Maizie, really sorry I haven't emailed-it's playing up for some reason. Hubby's been on it 'virus checking' and 'cleaning it up' and now I can't use my flipping email! Grrr!

Take care,

CG. x

Anyone had any problems with T-Mobile? I called them before my bankruptcy (anonomously!!) and asked them what would happen, they said as long as I am up to date on payments etc. it shouldn't be a problem... don't want to be suddenly cut off though!

Hi my contract was with O2 as soon as they got wind of my BR they cancelled my contract and i had to go onto PAYG.

They told me that all balances they will send to the OR and deal with it that way.

I went on PAYG before the BR hearing and have heard nothing back from then.

This was my experience, my contract was due to end july 09.

Hi

correct C.G.
There should be no problem with pre accrued network time.

Ahh I see.

I can't see that being a problem as it's not as if you've personally paid up in advance, which the OR could potentially have a problem with.

It sounds fine to me, but I'm sure an expert will let you know if I'm wrong.

Hi gettingthere,

I'm not sure how it works with you being in credit with them, but in general terms as long as the network provider is happy for you to continue the contract, you would usually be able to keep it. You would usually be expected to pay for it out of your disposable income though.
