Posted - 11 March 2010 : 13:34:19 hello i was made bankruptcy in November last year. i have now received a letter from MBNA telling me they are aware of my insolvency but i still owe them the balance served under the section 87(1) act? what do i do? surely this balance like all others should be absorbed in my bankruptcy?

Just to re-iterate nothing to worry about.
We all receive mail from creditors during and even after discharge.
As gettingoutofdebt has said, pass the correspondence to the ORs office - they will deal.

Posted - 11 March 2010 : 13:37:36 Forward the letter to the OR explaining the circumstances. The OR will contact MBNA and set them straight.
It's nothing to worry about, just MBNA trying it on.
