Posted - 02 April 2010 : 21:20:30 Could someone advise me please, i am going BR in a couple of weeks but i am concerned about my bank account, i have a coop cashminder account in joint names with my wife, we both applied for an iva last year, my wifes was accepted but mine was rejected hence my BR, we opened this account prior to our iva application, all our income and outgoings go in and out of this account, the coop is not a creditor of ours in anyway so my concern is this, is this account likely to be frozen or even closed and if so when i go BR there will be some money in the account but only enough to cover the rest of the bills and direct debits for the rest of the month,so will i have to take any money thats in there out, any advise will be appreciated. |

Posted - 02 April 2010 : 22:36:03 Certain OR offices freeze all accounts, think it may be Brighton and Bristol but not sure, I would give the details of the account on your forms, explain that it is your only basic bank account and that you need it and also inform the coop too.
Best of luck

Posted - 02 April 2010 : 21:55:48 The co-op cashminder is usually ok, one of the first questions the OR will ask you is, is there a bank account you need open for your normal wages/benefits. |
