Posted - 25 June 2010 : 18:02:47 Hi, I was discharged a few weeks ago but need some advice. I had several joint accounts including mortgage etc with my soon to be ex-wife. I have gone bankrupt and been discharged but she has yet to go bankrupt. As I am trying to make a clean break do I need to ensure that my name is taken off all accounts that were joint or will this be done automatically at the time of bankruptcy. I am trying to start a new life and do not wish to be financially associated with my ex and so wish to ensure I am doing everything possible as I have had numerous letters to my new house addressed to her even though she has never lived at this address. So following this do I also need to write to the credit reference agencies and inform them of the situation? Thanks in advance for any help that you give. It is much appreciated
