Posted - 30 March 2011 : 14:22:38 Hi I am seriously considering bankruptcy to draw a line under my debts. Having been self employed I have both personal and some business debts. I have buried my head in the sand and do not have a comprehensive list of debts / creditors etc Most of my business related paperwork where destroyed in a flood. Just wondering about the statement of affairs? What happens if you dont disclose a debt on it? Also will tax and vat debts be covered by bankruptcy? Can probably find personal debts through equifax or similar but that will be frightful reading!!!!

yes try to list everything (equifax is good call) if you miss a creditor it can be added at later stage.
I suspect the Official receiver would get grumpy if you forgot to enter a major creditor but you can only do the best you can.
VAT & TAX can be included.
are you going to continue trading after BR ?
was it a LTD company ? if LTD company i would direct you to contact one of the experts soonest (Tab to the left)
