Posted - 01 April 2011 : 10:54:06 I am currently paying a regular amount each month to EON and British Gas on outstanding balances. As I have now made the decision to go BR can I stop paying these and inform them both of my decision to go brankrupt?
Also, can this same action be applied to council tax arrears?

Posted - 02 April 2011 : 10:07:34 EON were the suppliers to two houses ago so no longer provide the gas and electric to where we now live. So I assume therefore that it would not cause a problem as I am paying my current suppliers Southern Electric via monthly direct debit.

who is going to be your supplier of electricity after BR ?
EON likely to ask you to go onto a meter, then they wind forward clock so they still get paid.
if you can afford to continue to pay utiliites i would do so
