Could you please tell me if I declare bankruptcy and I have a joint bank account with my wife with an overdraft of £5 will my wife be liable for the full £5k or will it be 50/50 and she will only be held liable for £2,500. thank you

Hi and welcome,

Unfortunately your wife will be held responsible for the overdraft as you are jointly and seperately liable for any joint debts.
