At the time of our BR the Coop Cashminder was our saviour!
Got accepted over the phone.

Hi Melanie has answered the question in the best way - I agree with her advice and reply to your question

The best account (in my view) is the Coop Cashminder

Although you have received your discharge, your bankruptcy will still show for 6 years from the date of the bankruptcy on your individual credit file - if your were requesting and ordingary account the credit search would show up the bankrupcy which may then lead to you being declined. You need to request a 'basic account' such as the Nat West 'Step' account or Co-Op 'Cash Minder' account

Hope this helps
