Posted - 02 November 2011 : 11:57:50 Unfortunately they don't actually teach budget control as this is done for you.
Also, are the fees allowed as an expenditure in BR? If not they will have to be funded through cutbacks elsewhere which is harder now that all surplus is paid into an IPA.
There is a place for them, but I would only ever use them as a last resort.

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.
Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 and I'm now looking forward to getting married in September 2012 - I'm proof that you can go BR and come out the other side. |

As you so rightly point out Think Banking offers a pre-paid bank account which is very good for budget control. It is a joint venture between a debt management company in the North of England and one of the high street banks. It is a respected bank although there are no branches and your banking is usually done online or via the telephone. For a bankrupt, I think that it is ideal.

Posted - 01 November 2011 : 22:13:24 I know a lot of people do rate them, but personally I wouldn't use them if I could get a free account.
