Posted - 05 December 2011 : 14:30:39 Sorry- should have added that the utils arrears are a small part of the overall situation, in case it seems too trivial to respond. Overall debts are £30k. Any help or experience would be gratefully received.

Posted - 05 December 2011 : 12:44:43 I'd give one of the experts a ring to get some free advice. The laws in Scotland are different to those in England.

Posted - 05 December 2011 : 12:37:01 Hi there Viki.W.
Sorry for the lack of info- topic was started by a phone agent I spoke to this morning. I'm in Scotland- so sequestration- and owe around £900 in utils, which I'm gradually clearing but the payments are relatively unsustainable- and may not be able to renegotiate a further repayment deal with current providers Scottish & Southern.
Have previously tried switching but unsurprisingly S&S blocked it. Have also spoken directly to a couple of competitors about post sequestration provision and not received a conclusive response. A meter is not an option.

Posted - 05 December 2011 : 12:05:31 I'm not sure exactly what you are asking but in england, if you include utility arrears fom current providers, they may want to put a meter in.
