Posted - 14 February 2012 : 11:43:54 I am about to receive a 15K payout for redundancy. My husband has just gone bankrupt, can they take my payout as we are married? I also have saved my child benefit fund for the last 2 years for things like uni costs for them in the future, can my husbands bankruptcy take any of this despite the savings accounts being in my name only?

If it's just your husband going bankrupt then your redundancy pay and savings are safe.
