Posted - 10 June 2012 : 12:17:36 Hi, i am due to be discharged from my bankcruptcy in a months time and would like to knwo the best approach for working towards being able to raise a mortgage in the future? i will have an excellent salary and would be able to have a sizable deposit. Are there any real possiblilities or will it be better looking outside of the UK? any guidance much appreciated.

Will you be paying an IPA? That will make a vast difference to your income as all disposable income (after normal household bills have been paid) over £20 will go to the OR for three years.
As to a mortgage, don't forget that the BR will be on your credit record for six years from the date you declared.
