if we filed for bankrupcy would our landlord have to be informed?
How much does it cost to go bankrupt for 2 people? |

Well the letting agent called me. Said the landlord was not bothered. They said they had received a form (or a call can't remember) and they had said there was no arrears and no issues
I was (and still am) 2 months in advance so they have no reason to rock the boat. |

I take it you meant that you never heard about it again?
Some landlords can be funny but I imagine the vast majority are ok as long as rent is up to date and it stays that way.
Private landlords will sometimes ask for six months rent up front once they find out you are BR as happened to a poster on the sister forum several years ago.

Hi Louise,
As Niobe has said, it's £700 each or £525 each if you qualify for a reduction because of low income or certain benefits.
The OR usually writes to your landlord.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
It will cost £700 per person to go BR unless you are on certain benefits where you can get a reduction in fees.
