Posted - 18 September 2008 : 22:23:58 Hi if you are living in your own property which may be lost in repossession, an eviction notice presented to your local housing authority would normally instigate a process whereby you are housed by them. Alternatively you would have a minimum 6 months from the first time you have missed a monthly mortgage payment to find a private rental.
If the property is lost in BR due to a forced sale the OR would normally give you up to the 11th month of your BR to find private rental or, again, a local housing authority accommodation, before he begins the necessary court procedure to force the sale.
