Posted - 07 October 2008 : 12:11:59 It comes off automatically 3 months after your discharge date whether you've had early or automatic discharge.
Make sure you print off your proof of discharge before the 3 months is up as you won't get another chance, and an official certificate costs £60!
Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

Posted - 07 October 2008 : 10:26:23 Hello,
I believe it stays on the Insolvency Register for 3 months after your discharge date. So if you were discharged on the 5th Aug then it should have disappeared off there on the 5/6th Nov.
I have been checking it and looking at when people are due to be discharged and then seeing if they are there 3 months later and they aren't - sad I know - but I was working out when mine would come off there! Im going to be discharged on 2nd Nov - so should come off there on the 2nd/3rd Feb!!!
Oh and as Jo says, send your Certificate of Discharge or print off the page where it says you have been discharged and send it to your creditors and the credit agencies so they can amend your credit report accordingly.
Thanks |

Posted - 07 October 2008 : 07:22:21 Hi Robert
I agree with Nat about how long it stays on the register. I dont think you can remove it yourself but after the 12 months of being a BR 3 more wont hurt. But...........
In my blog i have info on how to apply for the cert or how you can go about printing a copy of for credit files, banks etc.
Have a weeeeee look :-)

Posted - 07 October 2008 : 06:45:19 Hi Robert From previous posts that i have read on here I think it can take up to 3 months but you can get a letter from OR and/or court to say that you are discharged. Not sure if you can get it removed. I'm sure someone will be along later and be able to tell you much more than i can, most people are only just starting to get up at this time!!!!! Nat |
