You definitely have to be on the electoral register for a Cashminder account.

Also, did you apply in a branch or on the phone? Some people have applied online, and as you can't do this with the Cashminder they have applied for a full current account.

If you can't get an account with a high street bank there's always Think Banking. I wasn't very impressed with their customer service, and they charge a £25 set up fee and £12.50 a month, but they don't credit check so are quite good as a last resort.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

Hi, you can write to the co-op and ask them why they rejected you....it could simply be that you are not on the electoral role...and they cannot see where you live. Worth just writing to them and asking.

It is up to each individual bank as to whether they accept you or not. Try Abbey as well....or Barclays...if they weren't your creditors.

Hi a01 and welcome

Have you tried the Coop cashminder.
If you cant do that one as you have maybe them as a creditor then there is think banking they charge a fee per month but you can do dd's, so', have a card and your wages etc can get paid in.
Hope that helps.
Good luck
