Posted - 29 October 2008 : 23:51:01 Hi I can't confirm the success rate figure but I do know there are one or two companies out there that are having some success in this way. I confess I thought it was too good to be true as well and laying the initial fees out is a risk. It's hard to believe that major high street lenders have got the contract documentation wrong but it would appear the case.
It's possible it may go the same way as the bank charges reclaim scenario. If it gets out of hand the banks will no doubt close ranks and suspend payouts pending the outcome of a test case in the high court.
