has any1 heard of this....today i was contacted by a friend telling me of a new business he has just become an agent 4...he told me that any1 who took out a credit card b4 2007 may have a chance at getting the balance that they owe on any such cards...quashed!!..due to some error in the small print and something to do with "agents selling fee's"..all you have to do is contact this said "agent" hand over £450 for your 1st credit card and then £150 for every card after that, then they do the rest...if they win and i'm told there is a 98% sucess rate, you just pay them another £1000...if they are not sucessfull, you get £400 back 4 your 1st card and £100 for for all your other cards...mmmmmmmmm something don't seem rite!! say you have 4 credit cards, you hand over £900...2 weeks later, they write and tell you that they were not sucessfull..and hand back £700...£200 4 what..how could you check, would you check!!

Hi
I can't confirm the success rate figure but I do know there are one or two companies out there that are having some success in this way.
I confess I thought it was too good to be true as well and laying the initial fees out is a risk.
It's hard to believe that major high street lenders have got the contract documentation wrong but it would appear the case.

It's possible it may go the same way as the bank charges reclaim scenario. If it gets out of hand the banks will no doubt close ranks and suspend payouts pending the outcome of a test case in the high court.
