i'm sure this has come up before but could someone please confirm that business rates can be included in your BR?

Posted - 15 November 2008 : 16:37:16 well i have told them i went BR and all letters and calls have stopped .I did have to give them BR number and date forwarded all letters to OR and that seems to be the end of it unless someone can tell me whats around the corner awaiting me |

the Ltd company is a legal entity in its own right so if you were to declare Br then the Ltd company would still be liable.
You also cannot be a director during Br.

the business rates cannot be included in personal bankrupty (we are talking limited companies again here) only if the company itself is being dissolved or liquidated.

I assume your business is as a sole trader or partnership. If so then business rates are included.
If it is a limited company then your personal bankruptcy will not clear the outstanding business rate bill and you will also have to resign as a director.

it is really only court fines ( speeding, tv licence etc ), csa payments and student loan repayments that can't be included in Br
