Posted - 11 December 2008 : 13:08:33 Hi everyone, I'm looking to go bankrupt very soon, not before time I might add, and have just one question atm about my SOA (my other answers have all been answered through this forum). I live with my girlfriend and her mother, but pay about half the household expenses including rent, as I earn about the same as them combined. How is the OR likely to see this, would it be allowed? My SOA atm is:
Income: £1576
Rent: £550 Household: £225 Electric: £30 Gas: £15 Mobile: £30 Travel: £116 Council Tax: £54 Clothing: £50 Hair: £10 Holidays: £20 Landline/Internet: £15 TV License: £6
Total: £1121, leaving surplus of £455 pm.
Thanks everyone! |

Posted - 11 December 2008 : 13:54:30 Hi there
Have a look at skippys blog she has listed what she was allowed, but saying that in my blog i have a link for the allowable expenses that may be claimed by you, do remember that my link has details that are a little out of date and should be used as a guide only.
As Jenny has said only list what you actually spend each month, and no it should not be a problem you listing that you pay into your household equally.

Posted - 11 December 2008 : 13:50:29 Hey Joejack and welcome
I just wanted to mention a couple of other things you may be able to add...
Dental
Prescriptions
Housekeeping
car tax, mot and insurance and maintenance
Think you are only allowed £40 for clothing....also, do you wear suits to work if so you may be able to claim for dry cleaning.
Take a look in needafriend's blog im sure she has a list of allowable expenses, however you must put what you actually pay for even if they are not on the list.
Good luck and keep posting
Jenny
