Posted - 16 December 2008 : 22:02:01 It's been a scarey 6 months. I initially contacted Melanie on the IVA forum in July. Had an Interim Order granted in August. Refused an IVA in September. Had a very helpful conversation with John on here. Contacted Paul at Reviva who has been a star. October closed my business. And tomorrow I go bankrupt. Think it's fair to say I don't know if I'm coming or going!
Think of me tomorrow - need a shaking smilie! |

Posted - 18 December 2008 : 08:14:10 Hi s4pps
Congrats on the first part. It can take a while to sink in and also your emotions will feel so strange and run rings around you, but it will start to sort itself out in the long run.
Your now on your way with your debt free life and i want to wish you all the very best.
Take care

Posted - 18 December 2008 : 07:58:47 Thanks :) All done. I was nervous, it's easy to say there's nothing to worry about, but it's still unnerving. Paul from Reviva kept me company which made a huge difference. We were there 2 hours, but the actual time spent with the various official people was probably less than 20 mins!
Not sure how I'm feeling though, I need to get my head around it, but it's all forward from now on :) |

Posted - 17 December 2008 : 12:45:44 I may be too late to say good luck in advance but, if you have now come out of the court, I bet it was not half as bad as you feared, hey? You would have probably found you were not the only one and that there was a small queue. The next step will be an OR interview, probably by telephone, in which an examiner will go through your petition line by line and you will be able to anticipate what is coming next. During your BR please search the Insolvency Service website constantly as it is a mine of information which the officials use for their procedures. And, of course, we are all here for you on this forum. Best wishes. |
