Posted - 21 January 2009 : 15:58:14 You could get the official reciever to write you a letter confirming that he/she has no interest in the account, quite a few banks accept that these days. Or you could ring Payroll ask them to pay you by cheque this month and use that cheque to open a coop account or barclays account

I assume you have had your bankruptcy date for some time now as you are going bankrupt tomorrow, so you probably want to get it over with. Your bank account may still remain open for some time after you bankruptcy date, as it takes time for the OR to inform the banks.
My natwest bank account as just been closed and I went bankrupt on October 08. I would suggest getting the money out asap and if the OR asks about current bank accounts as mine did, tell them that the money going in is for essential living costs and their should not be a problem.
Again get the money out ASAP and open that co-op cashminder account tomorrow and arrange to get next months wages paid into it.

Posted - 21 January 2009 : 14:48:20 Why don't you wait until you've got paid? Cash your money, open the Co-op account, then go BR?

Posted - 21 January 2009 : 14:31:04 Hi bubbly1506
What bank account is your wages being paid into? Is it a bank that you owe money to in your bankruptcy?
Open a co-op cashminder account if you have not already done so as they are bankrupt friendly and have you wages paid into that account in future.
I would suggest drawing all monies out of your account as soon as possible to meet all essential living costs.
