to be honest with you my advice to clients is to open a new account prior to the bankruptcy for pay purposes etc such as the co-op, when completeing the forms do not include this account as the forms are for creditors ie banks you owe money to or are linked to any of your creditors. When you have the meeting with the OR you can then state that you have opened a new account for pay purposes etc and this way you will have no problems with freezing of the accounts, although the basic account would be un frozen sometimes this can be delayed!

As long as you don't live in Brighton you'll be ok - the OR in Brighton closes all accounts, including the Co-op Cashminder, and you then need to re-open the account.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

Hi

the OR does not freeze any accounts, the banks do.
If you explain your situation to the Co-op when you make the account application they will not freeze it either.
