Posted - 02 March 2009 : 15:02:23 Well after months of dithering I am now going to court to petition my bankruptcy this Wednesday. I would be lying if I said I wasn't terrified at the prospect, but at the same time I'm actually looking forward to finally sorting out my debts and starting again. I now its not going to be an easy ride and I'm especially not looking forward to the OR, but after the past year, nothing can be much worse than the constant worrying over my debt situation. I've also started my counselling with regards my gambling problem and that has made me feel like I'm doing something positive too. I'm sure I'll be back on here on Thursday to let you all know whether it was awful or not as bad as I thought it would be. Lets hope its the latter.

you may find that the worst part is later on in the process when you have to chase up FORMER (!) creditors to make sure they update that you do not owe them anymore.
There is a lot of admin involved in following up your bankruptcy.
