Well I wanted to say thanks to everyone on this site for all the advice and support, my husband and I are now officially BR and we would have found it a much more daunting and scary process without this forum. We had a positive experience at court (Stoke-on-Trent), with everyone being very nice to us, we both got the full reduction of the court fees (£690 instead of £1000!)which was unexpected and very, very welcome. We didnt have to see the judge, just waited for him to sign the forms, all-in-all we were there at 9.30am and left by 12 all done and dusted. We got a phone call from the OR's office that afternoon to arrange the phone interview which is on 27th April, got to send him 12 months bank and credit-card statements though, which will be fun trying to get hold of! If I can offer any advice, it would be to ring your court before you go and ask them which documents they need to see to decide if you can claim a reduction of the fees, we had to take in practically everything in our file including mortgage statements, tax credit letters etc, etc,but it was well worth it!
I have one question though if anyone can help, I have since received a letter from my car insurance (before the BR, we part-exchanged both my car and my husbands car for a slightly better one for him to use for work, I am off on maternity at the minute so dont really need one and thought they may take it off me anyway)they are asking for a payment of nearly £200 for cancelling the policy. Can I add this into the BR as it was something that was accrued before then?
Thanks again and good-luck to everyone still trying to sort things out.

I think you can only be told no by the OR so its got to be worth a try.
It is an unsecured debt from before BR you just didn't know it existed!!!

Well done as well!!!
