I cant believe how fast a yr has gone & how stressed I felt a yr ago over deciding to declare BR or not.. Now I feel very calm about my finances, I dont have any debt which is a lovely feeling - ok so I have an IPA but I can deal with that & I can still save some money every month..

So this time next month I will be dis-charged automatically, my question is what do I need to do, Ive heard I have to apply to the court where I was declared for a certificate, what do I need to do with this?

Thanks..

Make sure you print off a copy when it does change as it only stays on there for 3 months from your discharge date!

Thanks Skippy - that is good news, I had heard about the £60 charge so thats good if you dont actually need to pay for it!
Ok so wil just check the register & see if its updated for me at the end of May then!

I had automatic discharge after 12 months and I didn't have to do an new I & E. The entry on the insolvency register was updated automatically to show I was discharged.

I didn't apply for a certificate of discharge as they cost around £60. I printed the entry from insolvency register showing I was discharged and I've only ever been asked for the real thing once, to open a savings account with Sainsburys bank.

Hi Tikka sorry to butt in on your post as I would be interested in an answer on this as well. Is discharge just automatic? or do you need to go through the I & E and bank account route again? would be grateful if someone could describe the discharge process. Thank you.
