Posted - 21 April 2009 : 21:38:51 on a debt of £5000 what will my monthly repayments be to the court and for how long will i be in the courts charge for. also i am living with my parents and have conserns about them i.e will they be affected and i dont want them to loose there property

Posted - 21 April 2009 : 22:05:44 Firstly welcome to the forum if you go BR then the OR will establish if you have any Disposable Income (DI) and if your DI is over £99 then he will take between 50% and 70% If you have less than £99 you will not get an IPA and you will not have to pay anything towards the debts in BR £5000 seems a small amount to go BR and you may be better with a DRO (a new type of BR for debts below £15000) The CAB is handling the new DROs and it may be worth seeking their advice
