Posted - 27 April 2009 : 07:14:26 Sorry to hear about the house especially as the mortgage was up to date. Bankruptcy is probably a good option in this case as your credit rating will be very poor anyway but this depends upon the amount of debt you have and your disposable income.
Have a look at Insolvency Helpline (http://www.insolvencyhelpline.co.uk/) as there is a lot of advice about IVA's, DMP's and the BR process. Also speak to a couple of Insolvency Practitioners, the CCCS (http://www.cccs.co.uk/) and your local CAB to get their advice. BR is a big step and not something that should be rushed into without checking your other options.
