Posted - 22 May 2009 : 00:07:12 I am working abroad as a result of handing my home back to the mortgage company. I get back to GB when I can i have a contact address there where I stay. The mortgage company have auctioned my home with a shortfall of almost 100k which they say I now have to pay back. I have very few assets and a low income. Can I declare bankrupcy? I was told I could appoint a power of attourney to do this and a solicitor as I am still a British citizen and the debt I owe was created in England.

He can be contacted via the 'experts' button on the left hand sideof this screen, but I have taken the liberty of forwarding your email to you which he has received and will be in touch with you by email, but if you wish to ring him you will find his number under the 'experts' info
