Posted - 27 June 2009 : 09:57:19 yes, it can be re-started anytime up to the 36 month period, even if you have been discharged.
You will remain on the Insolvency Website for 3 months |

Posted - 26 June 2009 : 19:31:29 Trust me to get it wrong!
I thought that once you were discharged you couldn't get an IPA. I am presuming then that if you had one in the first place and you lose your job, then it can start up again if you become employed after discharge?

Posted - 26 June 2009 : 18:40:44 The IPA runs for 36 months from the 1st payment date so if your income changes any time before Dec 2011 you will need to inform the OR/RTLU and the IPA could start up again.
Once you have been discharged you don't need to inform the OR of any windfalls but you will need to inform them if your monthly income changes.
Congrats on the ED. |

Posted - 26 June 2009 : 18:34:55 I think that is probably it now that you have been discharged.
One of the experts will confirm.

Posted - 26 June 2009 : 18:02:14 Quick question on ED, maybe someone will know the answer ?!!
I was made BR in Dec 08 and started an IPA in January 09, however I was also then made redundant in February so the IPA was stopped after only one payment being made.
To date I have not returned to work and the IPA hasn't restarted, but I was given ED at the end of May 09.
Does anyone know whether the IPA will now be restarted on me returning to work (whenever that maybe) or whether that's it now ?
Hope this makes sense ! |

Posted - 26 June 2009 : 13:07:37 Just reading a few old posts to gather as much info as I can (forewarned is forearmed and all that ) and came across the phrase "start to clean up your credit file"
Could somebody clarify what that means please. |

Posted - 21 June 2009 : 08:12:16 Well done on the ED. As far as the BR is concerned it is all over. Check the Insolvency Register to see that it shows you have been discharged and then in a month or two you can start to clean up your credit file. |

Posted - 20 June 2009 : 22:22:11 If you have an IPA you will coninue to pay that until the 36 months is up. Otherwise that's it.
You will come off the Insolvency Register now but the BR will remain on your credit file for 6 years from the date of your BR.
