Posted - 24 June 2009 : 21:02:52 I owe British Gas £110 and am about to go bankrupt, but can't see anywhere on the Statement of Affairs where I would put this down? Is that because it doesn't go on there!? |

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

Posted - 25 June 2009 : 10:58:25 Thanks for your help. So, to conclude, we have a majority vote that it CAN go on the S.O.A, but we're not 100%. I'll find out soon enough...
Thanks again.

Posted - 25 June 2009 : 06:47:18 I think it's only utility debts incurred after bankruptcy that can't be included isn't it?
The glimmer gets brighter all the time

Posted - 24 June 2009 : 23:50:48 Hi ,
I may be wrong but have to disagree that utilities cannot be included in bankruptcy . The following link clearly states that utility bill arrears or debts can be included ..

Posted - 24 June 2009 : 22:32:28 Utilities like Gas and Electricity are not taken into account for right off. You will have to repay these. However , if you visit the Citizens advice bureau there is a particular body set up to assist , ie. help pay off utility debts. Not sure what its called but i have just sent my forms off which have to include last 3 payslips if your working. Good luck |

It would go in the 'unsecured lending' section of the S.O.A |
