Hi there should be no BRU for a double bankruptcy in this case as the one in Jan 2004 was under the old legislation. The BRO/BRU cannot take into account the first bankruptcy as it was under adifferent legislative system

Chances are that you will end up with a BRU as you will be declaring BR for the same reason twice. Although a BRU isn't good it isn't the end of the world. It will mean that you won't be able to get any loans or credit cards for a few years, which isn't a bad thing.

If BR is your only option then it's best to go for it and try not to worry about a probable BRU.

Do you mean Early Discharge or does the 2nd bankruptcy last for longer than the 'normal' 1 year period?

Depending on your reasons for declaring BR this time you may end up with a BRU but this will really depend upon you reasons for BR last time and this time.
