Posted - 20 July 2009 : 09:54:33 If you do get a BRU you will still be discharged after 12 months however the BR restrictions will continue to apply for the length of the BRU.

Posted - 20 July 2009 : 07:08:52 You should put down the reason why you are in financial difficulty regardless of what it is. No matter what your reason, it will not be the first time that the OR has heard it.
The ORs are not judgmental and will not give you a hard time during the interview. They may mention that you will get a BRU but this doesn't mean that you will. They will need to do a lot of investigating into your financial background before giving you a BRU and this normally takes several months.
Even if you do end up with a BRU it is not the end of the world and you will still be in a better situation than you are now.
