Posted - 02 August 2009 : 08:48:47 Hi there We have agreed on BI with official receiver and now want to pay him but they state we need to send cheque. As we only have co-op cashminder we have no cheque books and no-one who can write one for us, any idea what other methods of payment we can use. Also had letter yesterday from Land Registry saying IS have applied for a charge over property. Am I right in thinking that this is just until BI is transferred and the charge will them be removed? Thanks in advance.

I don't know if they charge or not. Give customer services a ring and ask them.
Will the OR not allow you to do a bank transfer?

The OR can put a charge on property to protect their interest but no one else can, I just want it confirmed that it will be taken off after transfer. Also do the co-op charge for a counter cheque?

As the Co-op to do you a counter cheque. There shouldn't be problem with that.
I didn't think that anyone was allowed to put a charge on your property once you had gone BR?
One of the experts will be along to help with that one.
