when you say that you are considering bankruptcy, how far are you down the line ?
your car is relevant to your needs and cannot really be advised until someone knows your full situation
unless it is in your interest DO NOT rush into BR, make certain you get your ducks in order.
study some of the forum and topics on this site and speak tothe experts

the "official response" is any vehicle valued over 2K must go
however if you can show need their is a slight bit of leeway.
The Or may decide that as the price is close to the 2K mark it would not release much capital for your creditors so they may not worry
have you checked your valuation with Parkers and even Ebay, as in the current market and by the time your case comes for BR the value of your car may have deteriorated
