Posted - 23 November 2009 : 10:55:18 Hi All. I went BR in March and received ED in October. I understand that the credit agencies (experian, etc.) should mark my debts as satisfied or show £0 balances. They still show as defaulted and how much is owing. I understand that the creditors should update the imformation but when do they do it? Does the OR tell them I am discharged or do I have to tell them, as they used to ignore my letters and pass me to debt collectors. Can anyone advise how I go about this and try to clean my credit up a little. I know the file still says I was made BR, but every little helps as they say! |

Posted - 23 November 2009 : 12:30:05 It's down to you to advise your creditors and ask them to update your credit file.
If you have a look on my blog there is a template letter that I used to send to my creditors, and details of what you need to do.
Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.
