The Co-Op tends to be the favoured bank - I ahve opened an account already, and have checked with them that I can carry the account once I have gone Bankrupt and they agreed I could, so I am happy with that.

To be honest I think you'll be lucky if you get a full current account. I've been discharged nearly 3 years and I tried opening an account with Lloyds TSB and was rejected, and I know the Co-op won't upgrade an existing account until the BR has dropped off your credit file.

What bank are you with? It might be worth applying for a Co-op Cashminder as althouhg it's a basic account you can use the debit card in any cashpoint.
