Posted - 05 July 2007 : 15:34:32 hello ivafalling, the fees to petition for bankruptcy are £485. This includes the court fee and the official receiver's fee. If on income support or incapacity benefit it's less. Check with the district courthouse where you plan to file for bankruptcy for further information regarding fees, but it's £485 if employed and receiving no benefits. There is also an insolvency helpline number which can assist you further.Insolvency on 0845 602 9848.
The fees are paid in cash on the day you petition.
