Hi I opened. A co Op account a few weeks ago to get my wages paid in end of June, date for court 6 June. Will I have to hand my co Op card over to o.r and if so what will I have to do to access this account |

Tell the OR representative that the Cashminder is to service the BR and you will be fine - an excellent account and wonderful bank - good luck |

My relatively recent experience was the OR asked which account I wanted to use as my day to day account.
I also contacted that bank the day after BR.
I had the account card 'downgraded', so that I could still use that card online, but only draw cash out of that banks cash machines.
I had various other bank/building society accounts.
NONE of them were 'closed down', although restrictions were placed, i.e some of them I could only use in branch with a 'book' (building societies),
other bank accounts I could still do online banking.
The OR's comment to me at interview, was that he doesn't instruct banks to 'shut down' accounts. Its down to the banks how they handle their accounts.

hi,read this with interest.i went br in august 2011,i have a co op cashminder,and that was the first thing they did,had my card away?i have a joint account with the wife and she has her own card,i wondered if that made some sort of differrence?i never have got it back.for the record angela going br is not all brimstone and fire,just be honest,good luck.

No, you won't have to hand your card over. The OR won't be interested in your account.

Is it the Cashminder account?
If it is, then you keep your account as usual and the OR will not want your card.
