Will my partner be affected if I go bankrupt? We live together but have no joint finances.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

If you have no joint finances then your partner won't be affected, neither will your address.

Do you own the house or is it rented?

Brilliant, thank you very much for your response.
I'm in a shared-ownership house - I own it 50/50 with a housing association. It's the biggest mistake I've ever made to be honest!

I'm not sure what would happen with that - it would be down to the OR to sort out.

If you don't mind me asking, what are your total debts? It may be that a different solution might be better? Are you working?

Hi Karen, is there any equity in your home? Is it jointly owned with your partner?
