Firstly i would not dream of being less than completely honest in BR but what if i was to receive an inheritance / windfall and i didn't declare it. I know the OR will find out but i was just curious as to how? Surely if they are relying on honesty from a BR, i know we are all genuine on here but there must be people that aren't as squeaky clean.

Hi Hammy,

In theory they do rely on honestly, however not to declare this would be an offence and the consequences severe if they were to find out at a later date.

Well i have to say the system is crazy. If it were to happen to me i truthfully would declare it but it would make me a little mad to know that others may be getting away with it. I can't believe they have no way of checking with the technology and information available today.
