 keeping my car if i made myself bankrupt ?

hi just wondered if any one could answer me a question i have a car worth 1300 but am considering leaving my job due to stress related issues and making myself bankrupt just started an iva would i be able to keep my car if i made myself bankrupt

hi and welcome to the forum
in BR if you have a need for a vehicle ie to get to work or look for work then the OR will generally allow you up to £2000 value so as long as you can prove a need for it you should be ok

Hi Lisa

as you have mentioned about an IVA you will need to speak to your provider and obtain a certificate of non compliance, you will not be able to go BR without it

Before you make yourself BR it would be worth talking to your IP as they may be able to give you a payment break whilst you are looking for work.
